Trained at McGill University, Donna’s original research focused on diabetes, which she pursued at the Merck Frosst Center for Therapeutic Research. Subsequent experience in clinical research and health economics led her to recognize the need for a scientifically rigorous, transparent and effective application of this research to healthcare decision making. She established such a team at Benefit-Quintiles, later co-founding BioMedCom Consultants which, since 1996, has been a recognized leader in developing evidence-based rationales for the adoption of new healthcare technologies and pioneering the concepts of Global Value Dossiers and MCDA-based HTA. Donna’s role at LASER Analytica is to support the consolidation and growth of its Market Access and HTA offers. Donna is a member of ISPOR (the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research), closely involved in its growth since 1995. She helped establish its peer-reviewed journal Value in Health, bringing it to National Library of Medicine listing and contributed to two ISPOR Task Forces, chairing one. She also participates in organizations which focus on health technology assessment (HTAi) and medical decision making (SMDM).
Donna is the Managing VP for LASER Consulting & Analytics in Montreal, Canada.
