LA-SER was founded in 2004, with a mission to bring cutting-edge scientific methodology to evaluate the real-world impact of medicines.
Our goal is to find for whom and under which conditions of use the drugs will demonstrate best benefit to patients, with minimal harm. For that purpose, we champion observational and pragmatic studies, with an enviable track record of success. We are pioneers in pharmacoepidemiology and populational health impact assessment of medicines. We also use decision analysis, pharmacoeconomics and other strategy consulting skills to analyse issues and target drugs at their best.
Over the last decade, there has been a growing demand by medicines regulatory agencies, HTA agencies and payers, for medicines manufacturers to actively demonstrate the real-world value and safety of their medicines.
For that very purpose, we have built, at LA-SER, a team of over 150 Late-phase Specialists to work alongside the main actors in the medicines world such as drug and devices manufacturers, regulators, payers and interest groups.
I have always been impressed by the potential of scientific information, be it on benefit or risk, to render positive outcomes as long it is treated properly, quantitatively and with transparency.
As Chairman of the company, I firmly believe that the long-term success and growth of LA-SER is driven by the high level expertise and strength of our core scientific team, a real force in pharmacoepidemiology and population health research. The dedication of its members contributes to a greater understanding of diseases and medicines, to improve the quality of life of patients and the general population, and eventually save lives.
